Bake the world a better place

Another fun inspiration challenge is up at Inspired By and I used some Echo Park Paper for my card.  I was inspired by the vintage feel of the linens and the clothes line so I hung some ephemera from the collection.  That chicken wire die... I can't seem to create a country themed card without it :)

The apron was fussy cut from some of the pattern paper and mounted on foam squares.  The sentiment is from the Whisky Business by SugarPea Designs

Here is the inspiration photo.... would love to see you play along - click on photo.

The Best Things in Life...

I am up on the A Flair For Buttons Blog with a fun baking themed card today.

I have used the Baker 2 Flair and paired it up with some Authentique Paper (I will be sad when I have used all of this up), Kitchen Love stamps from Reverse Confetti, my favorite background die.... the Chicken Wire and that 'sweet' die from Echo Park.

I paper pieced those canisters and stamped and cut apart the sentiment for some added interest.

Make lemonade...

I created this CAS card for a couple of challenges... both of which I was too late for LOL!  Oh well....

I used the Bright Side collection by Fancy Pants along with the Bowl of Sunshine stamp from PTI.  I thought the text on the yellow paper suited the sentiment quite well.

The washi tape and the lemon punch are from SU!  Not much else to say... one of the challenges I created it for was a CAS one....

Mindful Monday Moments - Open

Welcome to the second Mindful Monday challenge.  What is Mindful Monday?  well... it is explained here, but in a nutshell, documenting simple things that just make us happy.  I think it is important to take the time to be mindful and just appreciate what we have, and the simple and amazing things that surround us in our daily lives.

Todays prompt is open.

What does that make you think of?  Opening a fresh can of coffee, opening some happy mail, the open arms of a grand child.... so many simple and happy ways to interpret this....

For me... although the open arms of my grand daughter is right up there too, I so look forward to being able to have my windows and doors open in spring for some fresh air.

I have used some Crate Paper along with some cut files from my Silhouette.  That fresh air tab is from Elle's Studio.

Nothing better than some spring sunshine, some spring warmth and fresh air streaming into the house..... now it appears that for us here... it may be May before that happens.... geesh!

Now... what does the word 'open' mean to you?  I would love to know, be sure to share your story :)

Sketchy Saturday with Pattern Happy

Time for another sketch.  It is my day up on the Pattern Happy Blog so I have used a lot of PH products and created a couple of cards based on this sketch.

First off... with all of this rain... well I had to create a rainbow card.  I used the Rainbows collection along with Colorful Day stamp set, and Colorful Day Die.

I made the clouds into shakers which is easy when using the Adhesive Foam sheets from Scrapbook Adhesives.  I just die cut the shape from the adhesive.

I then wanted to create a fun card and the confetti paper in the Geofetti reminded me of a birthday so that is what I went with.  The black grid paper is from Color Me Happy

I used the Margarita shaker die from Avery Elle to create a fun birthday card.  I punched the lemons with the lemon punch by SU! - the patterned paper works well for lemons don't you think? I then stamped the lemon with a stamp from the Bday Bash stamp set.  The panel is die cut with a Stamplorations die

I used some paper from SU! as I was drawn to the china tea cup on the stamp set.  It said blue to me ;)  Seems to be a blue week for me this week.  Anyways.  I cut the tea bag with my Silhouette.  The mug was stamped, colored and mounted on foam squares.

I also stamped and cut out the sugar cubes but just used one of them and adhered it to the spoon.

Now what is up for grabs?!

Scrapping a 4 Generation photo

I am up on the Unity blog today sharing a layout.  I LOVE this photo of the 4 generations (my mom, myself, my oldest daughter and my grand daughter) so I had to scrap it.  I hope my grand daughter will cherish this when she is older.

I have used some old American Crafts papers... you know I love it if it is still hanging around as I am a big purger! I cut the title with my Silhouette.

Of course all of the different stamps are from Unity (see the blog for more details)I love so many photos from this photo shoot of the 4 generations but I decided to just use one for this page.  I used a number from Maya Road to signify the 4.

I upcycled some denim and added it as I thought it helped to carry out the theme and I love to upcycle!

For more information please head on over to the Unity blog.
