RAK Challenge

Anyone going to do the RAK Challenge??? See my previous post "Off to Victoria" for details.

Off to Victoria

Well, I won't be posting anything for a few days I am off to Victoria for a CTMH meeting. It will be fun to meet some of the other consultants and of course do some shopping! I should have something ready to post on Wednesday. Until then I challenge everyone to do a RAK for someone, make someone a card just because, don't you think we could all use a little RAK once in awhile. If you do this challenge, post me a link to the card and I, and my girls will pick one that will receive a little giftie from me. So ta ta for now, and get creating!

Bellaholics Friday Color Challenge

This is my entry into the Bellaholics Friday Color Challenge. I love this Bella! Well actually, truth be told I love them all - how can I choose a favorite?!

Stamp sets: Totally Chic; Mixed Happy Birthday (Stampingbella)
Paper: Silhoutte Collection
black organdy ribbon, foam strip, black gems.

Thinking of You

I have hoarded this paper long enough! This card is for the SCS sketch challenge this week. All supplies except sentiment are CTMH.

Cheers

Another card for the Bella sketch challenge. Using retired Cocoa Cafe papers (wish we still had them).

It's a girl thing

It's a girl thing - but not for this girl. I am so not a shopper (unless of course it is in a great scrapbooking/stamping store). I used the Bella sketch challenge for this week along with Marjorie's color challenge (Heavenly Blue, Sweet Leaf, Buttercup and Chocolate. I substituted bubblegum for chocolate). First time coloring all of Bella with a watercolor pencil crayons, I usually paper piece and use my markers. This will be a card for one of my Jaimee's friends when we give them a gift card for their birthdays.

Happy Easter Everyone!

So far Easter is quiet around here. The Easter Bunny has come and gone. Kids found their goodies and each got a magazine so they are off on their own reading them. Thank you Easter Bunny!

Just trying out a new background color, the black kinda got to me! I'll try this nice springy green for awhile. Notice in my sidebar an email Feedblitz, sign up if you want to keep up to date on my new postings!

You're Sweet Cupcake!

Just trying another card with the SCS sketch. I am so loving liquid applique on cupcakes! I used beads and coffee grounds (yes tis true - first time I did it was on a coffee card), for the sprinkles. All supplies are from CTMH (except ribbon, beads and coffee grounds).

Stamp: Sweet Talk, In Stitches
Paper: Good Times level 2

Classy and Fabulous!

Just trying out another Bella stamp and using up some old CTMH paper (too bad it is retired).

Starting 2007!!!

I started Danica's year 2007 album. I always start the album with a portrait of them at that age and with some info about them. Danica had already made the hand print for me so I saved it for when I was ready to do the page. Since it was pink I decided to try and match it with some papers. There is nothing frilly about this page, just a simple page from the new Reflections book. It took no time at all to do sometimes that is quite nice! The font is from the newest font cd from CTMH. Paper is from Best Friends level 2 Now using some of the scraps I made a card.

Back into Bellas!

I finally got back into my Bellas. Jaimee's room is painted, her furniture is painted and everything moved back into her room. She is happy with it and I am happy to have some time in the scraproom again! I haven't made any Bella cards in awhile so I just 'had' to.
I absolutely love this sentiment stamp from Stamping Bella. It is priceless!

Happy Easter

I saw a similiar card in a magazine a few years ago and have wanted to make one ever since. Another CTMH consultant put out an inspiration and challenged us to see what we could do. Her inspiration was a set of wooden bunny easter decorations. I thought that this card would be perfect for the challenge. Of course I had to add my own little touches!
Stamp set: March Word Puzzle
Paper: Sweet Leaf Textured c/s, Lilac Mist and Blush.

All from CTMH

Call me anal!

Ok so I have used this daffodil sizzix a few times and never have been happy with it. Partly becasue I don't like yellow but also because it was never quite right. There is a piece on the sizzix that I was never sure how to use it so I always left it out. Well during hte wee hours of the morning it came to me what to do with it. So I had to try it again, yes call me anal but now I can move on and do some scrapbooking! LOL!

Here's the side view to see how I used the 'tunnel' part of the flower. Duh! can't believe it took me this long to figure it out!!!

Seaside Happy Birthday

This is my card for the SCS challenge this week. I resisted the urge to make a Bella card and tried a more masculine one! I am loving my new Weathered Background stamp set - I used it to create the 'wooden' background paper. Stamps are from Inkadinkadoo, PSX, and Hero Arts.
All the rest is from CTMH.

Paper: Majestic Level 2, Twilight B&T .
Hemp, photo hanger and brads

Spring Daffodil

Marjorie has another color challenge this week - Buttercup, Kiwi, Citrus Leaf, Topiary. A HUGE challenge for me! Not normally colors I use. I tried many cards - and many not worthy to post! I finally came up with this card. I used Buttercup, Kiwi, Topiary and replaced Citrus Leaf with Sunflower.

Stamp sets: Weathered Backgrounds, April Word Puzzle, Wonderful Charms

Stay Tuned!

Sorry nothing posted lately. Here I am off work for this week and I am getting less accomplished in my craft room than when I am working full time! Go figure. However, having said that I did finish Danica's year 2006 album (woo-hoo!), I did make a couple of cards, but I am painting Jaimee's room (finished now!), and her bedroom furniture (love painting but not furniture). I am hoping to get back into the craftroom soon! Maybe the next SCS sketch challenge will inspire me!

Lucky Me

I received this stamp as one of my goodies from Eulanda and I have been dying to use it. This is for a sketch challenge on Bellaholics. It is a simple card but I like it. Perhaps for hubby for St. Patrick's Day - lucky him if I looked like that!

4 You Slider Card

I am so lacking in Mojo lately! I think I need some sleep. Either that or I can't concentrate cuz I know I should really be doing my taxes! Today I gutted Danica's room, what a job that was, she used to be so clean! Well I wanted to make some cards for my card workshop in just over a week so I figured I better get busy. Hard to make cards when you just don't feel creative. After a long time (much tooo... long) I came up with this. A slider card. I think the ladies will like it. Now to come up with four more cards! All supplies are from CTMH.

When you pull the tab:
Stamp sets: Jungle Leaves (retired), In the Wild, Friendship Word Puzzle, Weathered Backgrounds.
Paper: Expediton Level 2
Hemp, pewter eyelets and brad

Wow - Lucky Me!!!

I got a package today from my wonderful Bella Sistah, Eulanda and she rocks! I got 2 Bellas (no not images - the actual stamps!), LOTS of awesome paper (going to try some with Rockabella soon), some ribbon and some great cards made by her. She is not only generous she is very talented. Check out her blog http://www.eulandasilvey.blogspot.com/ and you'll know what I mean. We are such a great match, we have a lot in common and we both live in BC. I am so lucky! Well, here is a pic of my goodies - like Christmas in March!

Happy Birthday Cupcake

I didn't really have much Mojo tonight but I wanted to try another card with the SCS challenge. I wanted to use my Doodlecharm cartridge so this is what I came up with. The sprinkles are beads. The cupcake is on foam squares. I stamped with the Perfect Placement stamp then pierced with a paper piercer. A simple card, but it is all I could create tonight. Now off to bed.

Stamp sets: Perfect Placement, Happy Birthday
Paper: Good Times, Chocolate B&T, and Chocolate Textured Cardstock.

Priceless

This weeks Sketch Challenge on SCS is a difficult one for me. I had a few minutes to play and since this sentiment just arrived with my Bella order last night, I just had to use it. If I had more time I would have embellished more! This is kind of a joke card, not sure when I'll use it. Perhaps for hubby on our anniversary! All supplies except sentiment are from CTMH. Paper is More to Adore

Best Friends

A New Bella! Isn't it cute! This will be perfect for Danica's friend's birthday. It is the last piece of my scrap of the random stamped paper I made. Love this new bella! The sentiment is from 'Life Is' from CTMH.

For You Just Because

Same card as below but I wanted to use all CTMH stuff.

Stamp sets: Delight in Everything, Friendship Word Puzzle, Just Because

For You Jammybella

Now this Bella is so me (well, my arms are much flabbier!!). But I love my pink jammies and I am in them as much as I can be. My jammies have candies on them only because I couldn't get flowers. I love flowers and I love pink. I love how this card turned out. All CTMH except: Bella, brown flock, tab and cuttlebug folder.
Stamp sets: Delight in Everything, Playful Petals, Sleepover
Colors: Baby Pink, Bubblegum, Sunkiss Yellow and Citrus Leaf
I put fun flock on the teddy bear.

Enchated Cosmobella another BSC19

Just using the scraps from my Halloween layout and the Bella sketch challenge. Again not my favorite colors (except the green) but you can't go wrong with a Bella!

Stamps: Card Commentary; For Every Occasion, Tab (SU!), Bella
Paper: Enchanted Level 2
Flowers, baubles, markers

Note not glitter! I think that is my first bella without glitter!

You Rock

This is my card for the Bella Sketch challenge this week. It is a Tent Topper Card, easy to do. I used my new cuttlebug folder on the black paper. The sentiment has glitter and a window charm on it. All supplies except Bella and cuttlebug folder are CTMH. I think this would make a great Thank You card. Colors are Holiday Red, Black and Gray Wool.

Enchanted Halloween Layout

I am so happy almost finished Danica's 2006 album then on to 2007 albums for the kids. Halloween is my least favorite thing to scrapbook. Not my favorite holiday (I am not into the dressup etc, I am so not creative in that field so I dread when we get invited to Halloween things!), and it usually involves colors I don't like. So I cringe when I know my Halloween pages are coming up. Well that being said, I am happy with how it turned out. I used Reflections - Quartet - pinwheel. One of the things I am working on this year is trying to take more pictures that are not so close up ( I zoom everything!) so that I have more layout options open to me.
Everything is CTMH
Stamp sets: Halloween Dingbats, Hallow-Scream, Happy Haunting
Papers: Enchanted Level 2
Buttons, white waxy flax

Happy Birthday to you.

Another card using SCS sketch challenge 166. I came up with the flower idea when I was supposed to be sleeping. Decided on the colors this morning! All supplies (except sizzix flower and green ribbon) are from Close to My Heart. I used a number of stamp sets on this card, mostly for the background paper. The leaves are on foam squares. Would make a great girl (pre-teen or teen ) card wouldn't it?

Stamp sets: Rustic flowers, Delight in Everything, Playful Petals, Sleepover, Angel Whispers, Happy Birthday and A Little Bee!

Colors: Bubblegum, Citrus Leaf, Sunkiss Yellow and Baby Pink

You're Sweet Sistah Bella

I made this for the Bella Babe contest. We had to use the sketch and any bella stamp. This is my take on it. Thanks to Eulanda for the image. I think this will be for my SIL as she is so sweet! I used a circle window charm on the sentiment, liquid glass on boots and tiny heart on the purse, glitter on top, heart (which is on a foam square), and headband, the edges are chalked and the 'shadow' is with a watercolor pencil crayon. All CTMH except the bella image.

When Life gets Tough

Just using up more scraps and the Bella Sketch #18. Sentiments are from Close to My Heart.

The Search for the Perfect Pumpkin

A Close up of my pumpkins. Kinda proud of these. I used my sizzix to cut them out and then texturized them with my sizzix texture plate. I then sewed around them for dimension. I used some waxy flax for the tendrils. Word are from my Cricut Expression.

All supplies from Close to My Heart, unless already stated.

You're Sweet

I got my first little bit of goodies from my sistah, thanks so much Eulanda! She made an awesome St. Patrick's day card for me - gotta love goodluckabella! (I'll see if I can post the card) and a bunch of images of Cupcakeabella and MWAHbella. Love them! This is my first creation with Cupcakeabella. I again used liquid applique for icing and the 'sprinkles' are tiny beads. The cherry on top is a bead as well. The sentiment is on a foam square. I love this card as it is so useful for so many occassions.

Colors: Chocolate, Blush, Baby Pink
Stamps: Sentiment (Sweet Talk); Cupcakeabella
Colored in with markers, prisma glitter on dots and shoes

Life is a Party

Finally using my favorite color combo again. Chocolate and Pink, it is just so yummy! Again the spotlight technique on the cupcake (which has liquid applique for icing - colored it with a marker to make it pink), the balloons have liquid glass on them. Lots of glitter, Bella needs glitter!
Stamps: Stamping Bella
Paper: Chocolate and Baby Pink cardstock, Chocolate B & T duo.
Paper pieced clothing and the rest is colored with markers.

Some more Bellas

Now if I weren't so Minivanabella (taking kids here, there and everywhere!) this would be me cruising in my pink sparkly car! I used Circle Window Charms over the sentiments.

For a friend of mine who I don't get to see very much.

You Make My Day

My wonderful SBS sister Vicki gave me this award. Thank you Vicki. It made my day to see this! I have to nominate 5 people so here goes: all of my Eulanda (my new Bella sistah and you are wonderful!), Kari (love all of your comments, you are sweet), Marjorie (I love your work, all the sweet comments you have for people and your color challenges - you really do challenge me!), Sparkle (you are just too sweet), Nona (you are inspiring), aw heck I can't stick to 5! Vicki (you have wonderful work), and all of my SBS11 sisters.

Cruisabella Make it Count

Here is my Cruisabella for the sketch challenge. I also used Marjorie's color challenge (Clover Meadow, Sunny Yellow, Key Lime and Breeze). I am not a fan of Key Lime, and these colors don't grab me but I think it turned out ok.

SC 166 Make it Count

I had a few minutes to play this morning and I used SCS sketch challenge 166 to make this card. All is from CTMH. The clock is on a foam square and the word 'moments' in the bottom right corner is embossed with black embossing powder.
Now I just got Cruisabella and I am going to try this sketch with her and the same saying, stay tuned to see what I come up with! (Of course this won't be until tonight since I have to work!)

Tuesday, March 4, 2008

A Book is a Gift

This is my card for the Bella Sketch Challenge this week. Colors are Outdoor Denim, Indian Corn Blue and Baby Pink. I only wish I had the spiral punch from Stampin Up, it would really have finished this card of perfectly. Darn, I guess I'll just have to put in an order! I used the spotlight technique on the book that bella is holding. It is also on a foam square. I see that I have to clean up some glitter by her shoes, other than that I am happy with how it turned out.

Stamps: Bookwormabella, A Book is a gift; Stampingbella

Paper: Cardstock from Close to My Heart

Embellishments: Pink Bloom (CTMH), button (CTMH), baubles (Stampingbella), waxy flax (CTMH)

Musical Inserts?

I so like how the You Rock card turned out that I would love to make some more musical cards. Does anyone know of a source for them in the US or Canada? I found some in the UK but was hoping for something a little closer.

Sunday, March 2, 2008

You Rock!

Well I finally finished the report cards and I was going to bed but I just couldn't go without making another bella card. This is another one of those 'not sure why I bought it but just had to have it' stamps. Now if I could sing and was in a band this would be me, pink guitar, pink sparkly top, pink sparkly streak in my hair and shiny pink boots! But I can't and I'm not so I can only pretend! I love how this card turned out, even better is that Danica got a musical birthday card. I reused the music box, so when you open this card KISS is singing, "I want to dance with you all night." Would be better if it was a good ol female rock singer but oh well.

Stamps: Sweet talk; April Word Puzzle (music noter) - CTMH, Rockabella (Stamping Bella)
Paper: Stylin Level 2 ( a retired set - starting to get over my hoarding!)
rhinestones and foam square.
