It started with...

This is my card for this weeks SCS sketch challenge. It started with the ribbon that I bought yesterday, I had great plans for it, but when I started this card I realized it did not match my chocolate cardstock exactly which was disappointing! Paper: Chocolate, Heavenly Blue and White Daisy cardstock (CTMH)

Thinking of You

Julee's sketch for this week: I have been doing a bunch of scrapbooking, but needed to take a break, so I went to some sketches. I used a number of different stamp sets, on this card. The ladybug has liquid glass on it. The bouquet of flowers is on foam squares. All coloring is done with my copics.

Paper: Emporium design paper, Olive, Petal, White Daisy and Sweet Leaf cardstock (CTMH)
ribbon: CTMH

Gift from Danica

Danica (my 10 year old) took advantage of me being busy and sick (thus not in my craftroom much before Christmas), and she made this frame for me for Christmas. I was very surprised and I love it. First she painted the frame then spattered it with white paint. It is hard to tell but she used my sizzix to punch out the letters, she glittered them then mounted them with foam tape. The mittens and snowman are from my sizzix as well. You should see the coloring on the snowman it is fabulous! The other day we went up the mountain with some friends and family for some sledding and a campfire. It was a great day. The photo we got of our family looks perfect in the frame! Here are a couple more pics from the same day.

I have been mentioned again!!!

I am so flattered, I have been mentioned on the Card of the Week blog. This card was highlighted! So exciting!

Unforgettable Fair Blossoms

I am tired tonight. I made some cards this morning for a card swap, then I did some scrapbooking (just waiting for the last couple of pics for the pages), went visiting and then before bed just wanted to make something with Unforgettable. I didn't have much mojo left so I stuck with a simple card. I do like how it turned out though. All supplies are from CTMH.
Stamps: Fair Blossoms; Journalling Jots
Paper: Unforgettable design paper, Cocoa and Colonial White cardstock
Blush and Sorbet Ribbon rounds.
Clear buttons
I used my sizzix for the scallop circle and the cricut for the circle.

Unforgettable Sneak Peek

Another fabulous paper pack from the new CTMH catalogue. Unforgettable - it is just waiting to be opened at my house - so perhaps I may make it into the scraproom today! I want to play with my new Scorboard, and Bind it All!

Happy Birthday Poppy

This is Julee's sketch this week: I took in a few challenges with this card. Flourishes had a challenge to use Red and Green in a card, one of the Holiday Challenges on SCS is a 1, 2, 3 challenge - one piece of designer paper, 2 cardstocks, 3 punches and the only embellishment is to be ribbon (I hope the cuttlebug doesn't count and I didn't count white as a color.
Stamps: Poppy (Flourishes); Script (Hero Arts); sentiment (CTMH)
Paper: Emporium design paper; Tulip, New England Ivy cardstock
Punches: Large and Small oval; slot (SU!)
copics
cuttlebug
ribbon (CTMH)

If You Dream it...

I used up all the Simple Pleasures paper that I liked and am now trying to use up some of the paper that I am not so thrilled with. This started with some inspiration on SCS Holiday Challenges (hence the reason I'm not using new papers!), I took in 2 of the holiday challenges and then I used a sketch from 2Sketches4U. Not totally in love with this card, it is way out of my box! All supplies are from CTMH except spiral stamps and sizzix flourish.
Here is the sketch:

The card:

Stamps: Connections (NEW); Follow Your Dreams; Circle Around; Spiral binding

I'm so excited!

Wow, although I didn't win I am pretty excited as my name was mentioned in the Flourishes Newsletter! So exciting for me as there are so many talented card artists out there, that to be mentioned is very exciting! I was mentioned for this card set, which the teacher loved by the way! This is the second time within a month to have been mentioned in their newsletter, wowee!

Teacher Gift

I am so happy with this set. It went together easily and looks pretty good, thanks to the fabulous NEW That's Amore Paper pack from CTMH.

You may have seen something similiar before. I made the same card, in different colors here. This is the Card to go with the gift. The pinecone is on foam squares. Scented with Cinnamon Vanilla Card Scents. I whipped it up before school this morning! The box that holds the set of cards:

Here are the cards, all using the NEW That's Amore paper from CTMH and Coffee With Friends from Flourishes. All are Scented with Cappucino Card Scents. I had one card already made. The other 4 cards and the box, I made last night! By recreating things I had already done, and using sketches, these all came together very nicely! They smell so yummy I wanted to keep them for myself!

Card 1, I was going to give it to my parent helper but found something else.

Card 2, I used Julee's Mojo 64 sketch again.

What next???

So I thought I was feeling better, went a day without a headache (have basically had one for 2 months!), but things just didn't seem right. I went to the Dr. today and it appears I have an ear infection and a sinus infection. No wonder my head hurts. To top things off we have a staff party at my house tonight (planned awhile ago), and early tomorrow (like 7:30am) we have to head out of town again for Jaimee's bowling tournament (what a silly time of year to have one!)! Along with that still trying to do some stuff around here, I have not baked a thing because I have felt so horrible, luckily most of our Christmas gifts are already bought. I guess the moral of this story is that I don't think I will be posting much over the next week or so, which really bothers me as I just received so many new goodies from CMTH that I am just itching to put them to use!
