4U Sweet heart

This is my third post for today so make sure to scroll down!

I made another card tonight but that's it, I am done. Need some sleep now. I used Taylor's sketch:

I finally broke into my Bittersweet paper! I also used my my new Martha Stewart Border punch and some new Mini Letter Stickers. The cupcake and tag are on foam squares, the hearts are liquid glassed. I used Shimmerz on the cupcake and finally, the card is scented with Cupcake Card Scents. This is for Danica for her upcoming birthday. This is also for the OCC Challenge , which is to use at least 2 hearts on a card, and Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge - to make a love themed card.

I spent the day shopping - getting runners for the girls and I and then a big Costco trip- not so much fun. But I did spend about an hour in Michael's now that is fun!!!

Kinda pooped tonight though so I tried a card instead of a page. Here is Jen's sketch:
I dug out my That's Amore papers again and this is what I came up with. The hearts are cut out with the cricut, the ribbon is unknown, I got the Martha Stewart punch today at Michaels all the rest is CTMH. The hearts are mounted on foam squares.

I used another sketch from Pencil Lines, it was perfect for the first of many 'Japan' pages in Jaimee's album. This is a pic of us the morning when we first left on our trip. So full of excitement! Birthday Organizer

I did my first Bind it All project. It was a simple one, but have to start somewhere right? I made up a Birthday Calendar as I hate transferring the dates to new calendars every year. Since this is for me I had to use Notebook paper, some hemp with clear buttons and as many of my favorite quote stamps as I could! I even used my Coffee Stain set (love it! - although for me it would be a tea stain). I got the template for the birthday pages from Nicole's blog. This was kinda fun to do, I may get addicted! The best part - I used a chipboard envelope that came in the mail, cut it down and covered it with paper. So inexpensive!

With the sketch you were to scrap something Sweet. Well as my journalling tells, this is a picture of Jaimee, who, at 13 still gets chocolate on her face when eating ice cream. To me that is sweet, means she is not quite grown up... yet. Most supplies are CTMH. I made the Background paper with the new Damask Tile Stamp from CTMH. Heather email me at laurelseabrook@shaw.ca with your address so I can ship the stamps to you.

Blogoversary!!!

This will remain at the top until Jan 18th, so scroll down for new posts!!!

I can't believe it I started blogging a year ago! My first post was on Jan. 9th and well... the rest is history! I have definately become a better scrapper, card maker and paper crafter since I started blogging. So much wonderful inspiration out there! So not only am I having a Blogoversary, but I have been watching my hit counter and I wanted to have some blog candy when I reached 40,000 hits. Well I am pretty close! So I am combining both occasions for some great stuff! I have 3 'Valentine/ Love' themed stamps sets I am giving out.

To be eligible for the blog candy all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what you love (and not your family since I am sure we all love that!), something we don't know about you. For instance I love 'quietness'... which is why I love to get up at 5:30am even on weekends, it is the only time I have that in my house! Then post a link on your blog telling others about it. That's all there is to it. Good luck.

Only one entry per person please. I will keep this post up until January 18th when I will randomly draw a lucky winner.

This went together very quickly and I played with some new stuff! I can't believe it, I got some new Heidi Swapp papers in a kit from I am a Scrapaholic... Now normally, I hoard things for a long time before I break into them, but I have only had this stuff for a couple of weeks! I used my new Snowflake punches from PTI, and my new Nestabilities labels. A Me Page

As a teacher we get a free package of school pics. I doubt that I will use the wallets but I decided (since I don't hate the picture) to use the 5 X 7 one and do a page about me. I am working on a 'ME' album (this is my 2nd layout) to prove that I did exist (I am not normally in pictures since I am the family photographer). The Notebook papers from CTMH sure made this a quick and simple layout! I also used a sketch from Inspired Blueprints. Most supplies are CTMH. Stamps: Today's Date
Paper: Notebook paper Pack
Cricut, sizzix and a punch (not from CTMH)

A Canadian Album

We have a 10 year old Japanese girl coming to stay with us on Wednesday. She will be with us until Sunday. She goes to school with Danica on Thursday and Friday then we entertain her the other times. We have a bunch of things planned. I have a few little gifts/ souvenirs to give to her but just decided tonight that I should make her an album. Throughout her stay I will be snapping pics like crazy and will then fill up the album and give it to her when she leaves on Sunday. Danica loves the album. I hope that the little girl does too! From start to finish this took around 2 1/2 hours and used up lots of scraps! I had to keep it simple as it is going to a 10 year old and I didn't want it too bulky for her suitcase. It is a 9 X9 album. All supplies are from CTMH except the ribbon and the chinese character stamp.

Stamps: Noteworthy, Vintage Canada, Celebrate Canada, Annotations, Connections
Colors: Holiday Red (I used up the last of my paper!), White Daisy and Black
