Fancy Pants - About a Girl... and some Basic Grey

For the June DT at Scrap Shotz I am using the Fancy Pants About a Girl, I am really loving the new Fancy Pants lately, so easy to work with and the packs contain everything you need, stickers, letter stickers, transparent overlays, rubons...

For my first project:
The sketch this week from The Scrappiest, I know I have said this before, but I just love the sketches that Liz comes up with.

For my layout I also incorporated a couple of challenges from the Design team at the Scrap Shotz forum.  First, mine is to include 5Ss on your layout (summer, sunshine, stitching, sparkle and some stamps) and Stevie has the challenge to use stamps to create your title rather than reaching for some thickers.  I was so glad Stevie came up with that challenge it pushed me to use my favorite CTMH alphabet stamp set (Posterboard) I also used the new Over the Rainbow stamps and the August Word Puzzle.  All the papers are from the new Fancy Pants About a Girl paper pack, so fun!  Of course this fits the Pink Elephant scrapbooking challenge - summer.

For this layout I used the flocked transparency (Damask design) and placed it over one of the other pattern papers.  I also used some Unity (Ledger and Grid background) and CTMH (Star Struck) stamps.  I loved the border strip with the word Sassitude - perfect for a picture of Jaimee (who, too seems to like to take pictures of herself!).  I cut the stars with my Cricut (Plantin Schoolbook)

The sketch this week from Skipping Stones:
Some inspiration from If the Shoe Fits:

I made my card for a little girl in my class.  She is always including princesses in her writing and drawings, a real girlie girl.  I used my Once Upon a Princess Cricut cartridge to cut out the crown.
The sketch this week from CCEE:

When I saw these papers in the kit I thought of some great winter cards so here they are.  I stamped the light blue paper with the ledger stamp from Unity, the punch is from Marvy.  The stamp, ribbon and buttons are from PTI.

And finally a card using the scraps:

Last week's sketch from Creative Scrappers:

I snuck in one more layout with some new Scrap Shotz goodies that just arrived on Friday.  This time it is the new Basic Grey Basics - white - LOVE THESE papers - I got all 3 sets, can't wait to dig into all of them.  The chipboard letters and stamps are all CTMH.  The other pattern paper is Jillibean Soup (Chicken noodle and I don't know the other one).  I had fun with the title as I finally used my Tim Holtz crackle paint.  I went easy as it was the first time using it so the crackle is very fine.  I cut the tag with my Sizzix.

Jason's Ride

My second post for today.
The sketch this week from Creative Scrappers:

I just got this fabulous Basic Gray Basics paper and I love it!  This layout came together in an hour, love that too!  The stamps and the rest of the pattern paper is from CTMH.  The title is made using the new Jenni Bowlin Bingo tile letters and the ruler ribbon is Tim Holtz.  I also used the Label 1 Nestabilities and my new Chain punch and the silhoutte is cut with the Just Chillin Teen Slice Cartridge.

Merry Christmas

The challenge this week from Stamp Simply is to create a card based on your country's flag.  Well I'm from Canada and thus have red and white to work with (sounds like Christmas to me!) - although I did sneak in some gold with the Japanase tape.  All papers and the tag are from Little Yellow Bicycle.

Christmas in May???

As I have been saying I have been mojoless.  I think perhaps it is possibly due to a number of reasons one of which is that I am overrun by cards in my house!  Every time I tried to make a card I just couldn't since I don't 'need' any.  Well since there are some calls out for Christmas cards I decided to switch gears and try some Christmas cards.  Although it feels kind of wierd making them now, at least I am working my way through last years stash before the new yummy stuff comes out! hehehe

All of my cards today I made last night from the American Crafts Merry Mint collection.

The sketch this week from Limelight Papercrafts:

The extra challenge at Limelight and it is to include Fluff or Fuzz.  My fluff is liquid applique on the house.  I distressed the edges of the card and tree with some white ink.  The stamp is from Papertrey Ink.  I cut the house and tree with my Christmas Cheer Cricut cartridge, and the scallops are from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.

The sketch this week from Pals Paper Arts:

Again the stamp is from Papertrey Ink.  Punch is Marvy and the bell is my stash.
This is the card I made with some of the scraps from the last 2 cards.  The sticker is from American Crafts, the punch is Marvy and the twine is May Arts.

Get Sketchy

This is my second post for today, for my Friends With Flair please scroll down.

The sketch this week from Get Sketchy:
For my card I forgot to read the challenge that went along with the sketch, it was supposed to be a Father's day card - I just got some PTI stamps and was itching to play with them.

This weeks Diva Coffee Break Designs challenge:

I decided to use the Get Sketchy sketch again and make a masculine card, the theme for my dad 'thank you for guiding me in the right direction' kind of card.  The stamps are from Unity (signs) and PTI (car).  I cut the sentiment with my Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge.

Fancy Pants and Unity

Welcome to my Friends With Flair.  I am slowly trying to get some mojo back, just not feeling it lately.  Last night was a bit better so I was able to do a couple of cards.  I used one of my Scrap Shotz kits full of Fancy Pants paper.

The sketch this week from Inspirational Card Sketches:

I am finally using the Christmas ornament stamp set that has sat uninked since I got it last December!

I was again inspired by the 2 Sketches 4 You sketch:

Wish Shoe Well

The sketch this week from Card Patterns:
The color challenge from the Design Dollies:

For my card I used my new Squigglefly images - so fun (I guess this has been quite the sassy week for me) and Squigglefly sentiments.  This is also for the Jacksonbelle challenge the Cute Card Thursday challenge - no designer paper, the Frosted Designs challenge - include a shoe, and of course the CARDS challenge (puny statement).  One of the teacher at my school is leaving to go to another school (her dream job) - she is very sassy - thought I may give her this card!

CAS day

This week the Etsy Inspired Challenge is from Made by Michelle Brusegaard.  I chose this as I like the colors in it.

For my next 2 cards I used some Whimsy Haven images, they are so fun (and on sale this week!).  This is also for the Simplicity One Layer Wednesday challenge - overlay the sentiment on the image, as well as the 365 challenge - Keep it Simple.

The inspiration from Off the Wall Craftiness this week:

I was still in a simple mood - actually still trying to muster some mojo!  love the colors in this photo.  Again the banner is from Whimsy Haven and the letters are from CTMH.  This also fits the 365 Card Challenge - Keep it Simple.

Sassy Wednesday

I have a few cards to post today.  I loved how this card turned out so I decided to make a set of cards for one of my parent helpers (who is very sassy herself!) and these Sassy Studio Designs are perfect for her.  Since I am again using the same papers these fit the If the Shoe Fits challenge, and since they are girlie they fit The Crazy Challenge.

The Mojo Monday sketch:

For my cards I am still using up my Scarlet Lime papers - love these.  The stamps are from Papertrey Ink and of course the main image is from SSD (one of my favorites)

The sketch this week from 2 Sketches 4 You:

This is one of the newest SSD images.  The sentiment is from Stampingbella.

Mercey's sketch for this week:

And another simple card done by flipping the sketch.

Now here are the 4 cards all together:
