OMG, happy dance

Wow, talk about doing the happy dance, I can't believe I won at Alli's blog!  I won 2 new PTI sets!

ETA: now I just saw this at Lynn's blog!

Ok, now be sure to scroll for my big reveal at Scrap Shotz!

Scrap Shotz reveal time!

Caution heavy post ahead!

Reveal Day at Scrap Shotz!  I got to work with the Basic Grey Wanderer set along with the embellishments and chipboard.  I am not a big Basic Grey fan and usually have trouble with it, let me tell you, this kit is fabulous!!! I love it!

The sketch from The Scrappiest last week:

Of course I had to do a page about my new car and this paper is perfect!  My challenge at Scrap Shotz for this month is to do some handwritten journaling on some journaling spots so this is what I came up with.  All supplies are Basic Grey except the title - Making Memories.

One of the August sketches from Stuck Sketches:

For my layout I also incorporated The Studio Challenge - to scrap a landmark of your city.

The sketch this week from Card Positioning Systems:

The color challenge from Our Creative Corner:

Don't you LOVE the clouds on this card - this is a new Spellbinders die that is exclusive to Scrap- Mart - you should pre-order yours now - they will sell out, that I am sure of!

For this card I made a gift card holder out of an envelope, I thought this would be good for giving a gas or travel gift card for the person who has everything!

Inside - I used the Basic Grey Basics here.

The sketch this week from Card Patterns:

For my card I incorporated the Squigglefly challenge - man ( the train image is from Squigglefly)and the Fantabulous Cricut challenge - travel (the clouds and RR sign are cut with the Going Places cartridge).  It is hard to tell in the picture but the train and the wheels are on foam squares.

And finally my Sparkle creations card that was made with the kit as well and posted earlier.

Happy Birthday

Third post for today.

The sketch this week from Get Sketchy:

The inspiration from Cupcake Inspiration:

The colors from Color Throwdown:

I also incorporated the CAS challenge - delicious.  I used the sweet Schlosser Designs Hey Cupcake Set along with some Making Memories Flutter paper.

Happy Birthday

My second post today, be sure to scroll for the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge post.

The challenge this week at Some Odd Girl is a sketch:

The inspiration from Stampin Celebration:

I also incorporated the Meljen's Designs challenge - birthday; the Oh Alice challenge - a girl image.  I won the Some Odd Girl challenge a week ago and this is one of the images I chose isn't she cute?!  I am building up my stash of birthday card for the kiddos in my class.  The paper is from American Crafts.  I mounted Kaylee on foam squares and her shoes are painted with Smooch.

Bon Voyage

Time for another Sparkle Creations Challenge and just look at this inspiration picture:
I used the sketch from Skipping Stones:
I used the colors from the inspiration photo and of course I think this is where Traveling Josh is waiting to go!

I hope you play along with us,  would love to see what you do with this photo inspiration.  Be sure to stop by the Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the designers did.

Top 3

Woo hoo, I was the Top 3 at Techno Stamper for this card! how fun!

Laurel does Vintage???

The challenge this week at Scrap Tiffany is vintage.  I have a hard time doing vintage cards but a layout?!  I was going to do a card for the challenge but wanted to push myself to try a layout.  I am glad I did, I am happy with the result.  Behind the picture is a pocket for a journaling page.  I gave it to my MIL to write about the picture as it is her dad and uncle in it.  I just am waiting to get it back.  The papers and some journaling tags are 7 Gypsies, letters - Jenni Bowlin and some tags are from CTMH.  This is also for The Shabby Tea Room Challenge - Old (my picture and CTMH journalling spots) and New (the Graphic 45 papers) challenge.

I used a bonus sketch from Stuck Sketches:

Why don't you do a vintage layout for our challenge this week, be sure to link it to the Scrap Tiffany blog.

I touch the future...

I have been very busy in my craft room and in a few days you will see what I have been up to!  However, I took some time for myself to make something for me, for my classroom (counts as a teacher gift doesn't it??? - for the Sassy Studio challenge).  I had this tin bucket in my stash for years, and during my purge this summer I found it.  Yesterday I spray painted it black and today I glued magnets on the back and then went to work.  I made it to hold my felt pens and such at the chalkboard (nice and high so little hands don't reach them).  The text paper is from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff at My Grafico, the image is a Sassy Studio Designs (called Mrs. S), I used my Slice Fall/Back to school cartridge to cut out the apple, abc and 123 (on the side), the letter stickers are American Crafts and the sentiment is PTI.  This is also for the Stamp Something Challenge - back to school.

Top 5

Woo hoo, I made the top 5 at Meljen's Designs

Woot, woot

Time for another Wee Memories challenge and this week it is 'In the Forest'.

I used the Color Cue as inspiration:

I also incorporated the Whimsie Doodles challenge - text paper (the yellow text paper in the background is from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff).  The note paper is from The Cutting Cafe. It was fun to play with my Cricut again.  I used my Paisley cartridge and New Arrival Cartridge.

Oh and are you a follower of the Wee Memories blog?  If not you should be, it is such and inspiring blog!  If you do decide to follow can you let me know, Jenny has a mini contest for us DTs!

I miss you

The sketch from Sasya's Sketches this week:
The color challenge from Curtain Call:

This weeks Tuesday Trigger - so light and airy so it inspired the theme of my card too.
You know, I received this package of My Mind's Eye papers in one of my CARDS magazine pub goodie boxes.  I have made so many cards and stuff with it and I love them all.  Funny thing is I probably would have never bought the set as they are not colors I normally use.  The stamps are from Lawn Fawn (banner) and Unity (sentiment).  Hard to tell in the picture but the banner is on foam squares.

'sup?

The challenge this week from CCEE  is a sketch:
I am running on only 4 hours of sleep last night so low in creativity and heading to bed after this.  I won some images from Bugaboo stamps a couple of weeks ago and have been just wanting to play with this little sock monkey ever since.  When Paige had the Challenge over at Create - one word sentiments it was perfect!  I also incorporated the Stampin Royalty challenge - Monotone - neutrals.  All the paper is PTI.

The sketch this week from Get Sketchy:
This is my first post as a DT member for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff!  For my first project I had to use one of my favorite sets called On the Line.  It is so versatile, I just love it!  The papers are from Pebbles, the cloud paper is digi paper from My Favorite Things.  I used my Fall/ Back to School Slice cartridge to cut the letters and the sentiment is my new Lawn Fawn set, Sophie's Sentiments. This is also for the Cupcake Craft Challenge - blue and green.
