First Marshmellow

I took a break from DT work and just played with some of my stuff.  I am pretty proud too, I did a layout without using a sketch!  I always use a sketch, but the ones I had just didn't do it for me so I played and this is what I came up with.  I the new Echo Park mini kit The Great Outdoors along with a bit of the This and That.  The title was cut with my Cricut and I also used some stamped images from Market Street Stamps (Gone Campin).  I felt my dog eagerly awaiting a walk so I whipped this up in an hour.  Now he'll be so happy that we can go ;)

Hey There

It was backwards day and Pizza Day at school today and when something happens out of routine the students are very excited.  Well today was no exception.  Excited students = tired teacher ;)  So I decided to unwind by playing in my scraproom.

I am playing along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge - flowers or trees.

I used this sketch from Eat Sleep Stamp:

I couldn't wait to ink up my new Spring Groves stamp set from Paper Smooches.  I also used the Sentiment Sampler and Sunny Side Up sets along with this pretty Be You paper by Fancy Pants.

Blogging Friends

I had some projects up on the Nikki Sivils blog the other day and I thought I would post this layout today.  I used this sketch from Creative Scrappers:

For my layout I used the Exit Here Collection, I love how this is a Road Trip/Camping kit but so easily can be used for other things like I have done here.  The little pennants hanging beside the photo are chipboard ones from Basically Bare.  I used my Beacon Adhesive Zip Dry Paper Glue to adhere some paper to them, I love how quickly the Zip Dry works and no wrinkling of paper!  Of course a bit of Blossom Twinery Twine is wrapped around the photo.  It was neat to meet up with Sparkle when hubby and I went on a trip to Seattle, and I have since seen her again.  I love being able to meet some of my blogging friends.

Smile

It is the final day of new releases at There She Goes and today we are showcasing Oh Snap.

This new set is designed by Torico.

I used this sketch from Sketchbook Saturday:

Once again my 2wenty Thr3e papers from Cosmo Cricket, can you tell I love these papers!  The letter stickers are from Pink Paislee and I have finally dug into my stash of washi tape (it has been awhile), these ones are from Cute Tape.

Oh Snap is a 6x8 set that includes 33 stamps, and will sell for $24.

Would you like to win the new Oh Snap stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges and comment on their creations as you go. I used this weeks sketch from Techno Stamper:

Inspired By #21

The new Inspired By Challenge is up

Berry Sweet

Today I have a treat for you ;)  Nikki Sivils is teaming up with Glue Arts for the next couple of days and Glue Arts were very kind to supply the Nikki Sivils DT with some product to use.  I used the Audrey collection for this, as I thought the papers were perfect for making a strawberry shaped card.  I used the Adhesive Squares to adhere the pieces just enough so that they wouldn't shift while I was sewing (the squares are very sticky so I didn't need many!), as well as the button, twine and sentiment.  The when I adhered this to the card base I used my Glue Glider Pro, which works so slick, I love it!  This is also for the Young Crafters United challenge - no coloring and the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge:

Other products used:
Fruitastic Stamp Set by Paper Smooches
Preserves Cricut cartridge

Now be sure to check out the Nikki Sivils blog today and tomorrow to see what everyone has created!

Lily Bee Sketch challenge # 8

I know I already have a bunch of stuff ready to post this week and could really just sit back and take a break from scrapping.... but I don't want to ;)

I decided to play along with this sketch challenge from Lily Bee:

When I saw the Double Dutch papers I knew I wanted to use them with these photos I took of my the kids. For some reason, they don't really mind these photos ;)  I have also used some Divine Twine, bits of burlap and a scrap piece of denim from hubby's old jeans.  I have also used 4 different Unity stamps.  Finally, the pennants were cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and the circles and letters with the Plantin Schoolbook.

Nikki Sivils

Here is my card using the new Mad Gab set.  I made a baby announcement card using the Cuddle & Coo Pyramid Pack from Momenta.  I kept it simple as usually baby announcements are made in large amounts!  BTW lots of baby things being posted on my blog, but only because I feel like doing the baby thing... there is not other reason than that! ;) For this card I stamped and embossed the sentiment right on the photo, I like how subtle it is.

Hi Sweets

Day 2 of the There She Goes releases.  Today we are showcasing the A Little Treat Set.

Bring your own sunshine

I just got some happy email from Paige, I have 2 items picked up for the October 2012 issue of Cricut Magazine!

There is one day left for this week's Inspired By Challenge

This is what I did for the inspiration.  Once again I dug into my My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart collection.  Can you tell I LOVE this collection!  I was inspired by the colors but also thought that the title on the chipboard was perfect as well.  "Where ever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine."  My daughter has the whole world ahead of her and I hope that whatever she does, she does it by being herself.

My layout was in the Top 3 at 2Peas!

you and me and a cup of tea

Second post for today...
My TSG post for the new release is here

Another fun and easy challenge is up for you at the Ribbon Carousel.

We are excited to have our friends at There She Goes as this week’s challenge sponsor!  It is no secret that Jessica Knutsen and Corinna have become fabulous friends during their crafting journeys. “I love this girl, her designers and stamps are amazing and the DT is incredible!” is how Corinna describes Jessica and her team.  Soooo, we thought it only fitting that Jessica and her team help us celebrate the last challenge of our first year!

For my card I have used some of the Crate Paper Farmhouse collection along with the Perk Up set from TSG and some Jute Twine from May Arts.  The burlap is from Canvas Corp.  This is also for the Cupcake Craft challenge - material and the City Crafter challenge - burlap

Jessica is giving this week’s lucky random winner a gift certificate of $25 to spend at the There She Goes store!

Be sure to pop on over to the Ribbon Carousel to see what others have done and to play along!
