Smile, Love Life and Be Happy

I decided to try and play a bit in my scraproom tonight because the Color Q challenge was taunting me ;)

I used my Park Bench collection by Fancy Pants along with a sticker from SRM Stickers and a Silhouette cut.  The twine is from Divine Twine.  A simple card, but all I could muster at the end of a busy, exhausting week.

What a week

I know I have been missing in action lately.  Not a good combination of things happening!  Some bumps in the road along with computer issues and report cards... hope to get back to craftng soon.  My goal is to be finished the report cards this weekend... although computer issues make that a little difficult...fingers crossed.

Pretty Things

I am up on the My Mind's Eye Blog today with a card I created with the Record It - Pretty Things collection. Everything about this collection makes my heart happy.  I would love this in a 12 X 12 collection....

Today I have used it along with my much loved Chicken Wire die by MFT, a Silhouette cut and some stamps by PTI.

I don't often decorate the inside of my cards, but these roses, which I fussy cut from one of the pattern papers are so so gorgeous.

I am playing along with the Papertrey Ink challenge

I would love for you to stop by the MME Blog.

A Class Of Your Own

I played with some Unity Stamps again (I think this sentiment is one of my most used Unity stamps) and I love the coffee ring.  I used the Now & Then Milo collection by My Mind's Eye. The frame is one of the journaling cards in the set but I cut out the middle to make a frame.   I also used my Silhouette to cut out the circle strip.

I was inspired by the colors in the Color Throwdown

Say What? Eew!

I took a break from report cards and played with my Everyday Moments by Elle's Studio to scrap these fun photos from Christmas.  My niece had gotten a package of joke jelly beans and was more than willing to share them with us!

The title is done with some American Crafts Thickers.

Some stamping with Unity stamps.  I also blocked out the word 'sugar' on this tag from the Penelope collection to make it look like a swear word... which is what many of us wanted to do when trying the jellybeans!  The stamped 'censored' is from the current SMAK kit (Camera Ready).

I used this sketch from Paper Camellia

Flea Market Birthday Wishes

I played with the Flea Market collection by Crate Paper, love the mint and navy.   I fussy cut the flowers from one of the pattern papers.  I also used one of the Doilies and Fancy Sentiment  from SRM Stickers.  Now I am off to do some more report cards so you may not see much of me in the next couple of weeks.

I used last week's sketch from Studio Calico.

Family Stories

Today I have a layout I created with the Family Stories by Teresa Collins.  The collection was perfect for scrapping these photos from the fall when some of my cousins from the other side of the country came to town.  It was my first time ever meeting some of them and it was such a fun week!

Of course I have also used some Unity Stamps, they are always so perfect for a finishing touch.

Lucky Me

I played with some of my favorite Jillibean Soup paper - Chilled Cucumber Soup.  I didn't start out making a St. Patrick's card, but when I saw the gray and green, it just kind of happened.  I used my Silhouette to cut out the shamrocks then backed them with some of the pattern paper.   The sentiment is also a Silhouette cut.  A simple card, that I almost sprinkled some green sequins on, but hubby is not a fan of sequins 'they are too girly' so I resisted ;)  I added a Corrugated shape and some twine for a bit of contrast.

One Year Older

I am up on the Jillibean Soup Blog again with another birthday card.  Can you tell that I had fun with the Birthday Bisque collection?!  I mounted the sentiment die cut on foam squares for a bit of dimension.

Now be sure to check out the Jillibean Soup Blog to see the other fun cards the Designers have created!

Happy 6th birthday

I am up on the Jillibean Soup Blog today with a fun card I created using the Birthday Bisque collection.  This collection is so fun to work with, and was so timely... Farm Fresh Just Because card

I am playing along with another one of the Jillibean Soup sketch challenges.  For this card I dug into the Irish Farmhouse Soup collection.  I then layered on my Chicken Wire die from MFT.  The little bits and bobs are from the Irish Farmhouse Soup, the tag is one of the small Kraft Tags, stamps are from PTI and I cut the rooster with my Silhouette.

I am also playing along with the Curtain Call challenge as the strips made me think of a quilt and I stitched them all down.

Status Update - social icon card

There are some fun challenges up on the Jillibean Soup blog this weekend and you know how much I love sketches so I had to play along... hoping to get to all of them!

I LOVE the new Spicy Social Soup collection and can't wait to get more of it!  I also used some dies from My Favorite Things and the hashtags and emoticons from Creative Embellishments.  I just punched the circle sentiments from the pattern paper.

I used the first card sketch:
