Inspired By 2

I love this springy photo (click on it for source)... now if only we would get some spring sunshine!  I'm looking forward to clipping some flowers from my garden... especially my forsythia and lilac.

I was pretty literal with my card... but I did challenge myself to NOT use pattern paper!  Believe it or not, it is a challenge for me :)  I love my patterns.  Yes I did sneak in a journal card from the Hello Lovely collection... but that is all.  The rest is cardstock.  First thing I did was create the text background with the Newspaper stamp by Papertrey Ink

I stamped and fussy cut most of the foliage from the Good Thymes stamp set then tucked in a branch die cut.  The jar is mounted on foam squares for some dimension.

I was inspired by the City Crafter challenge:

Also the Heart 2 Heart challenge: Background stamping... it is not all CTMH but I am working on it ;)

Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful

I had to create a pretty card on this not so pretty day.... rain, rain and more rain on the way! Yuck!

I used the French Flea Market paper by Photoplay... it is just so gorgeous!

I fussy cut the flowers as well as the stamped sentiment.  I die cut the envelopes using the Wplus9 Love Notes die.  The 'beautiful' is a Concord & 9th die.  Of course I had to add a bit of stitching :)

I was inspired by the Tuesday Morning Sketch... although I flipped it the other way:

I can make you tea

Live crafting here.  Looking after my grand daughter for Friday and Saturday all day including a sleepover... made for no crafty time ;)  So I'm catching up today

I used the Tea-lightful collection by Pebbles along with a sentiment from the Cup of Tea stamp set by My Favorite Things.  Super simple card today.

I added a bit of washi tape and mounted the tag on foam squares before adding a clip and twine.

Hooray... it's your birthday

I created another birthday card... who knows maybe I will pass them out to my students again.

For this card I used the Hooray collection by My Mind's Eye. I paired it up with the Biggest Birthday Ever die set from Stampin' UP! ) I used the cone to create a birthday hat.  I then fussy cut one of the bursts in the pattern paper to create a pom pom and then stapled it on.

Before mounting the hat on foam squares I stamped a sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Inspired By #1

Do you remember when I had the Inspired By Challenges?  Well... I just may start them again... although will be on this blog... and I won't promise that they will be every week :)  But here goes my first one:

I was pretty literal with this one.

I created a card and then just thought it would also make a good seed packet so I kept going.

First up, the card.  I used the Bloom Collection by Crate Paper. it is such a pretty package of papers and I love all of the plaid and gingham in it.  I then stamped the plate and utensils from the Table Service stamp set by Papertrey Ink and yes I did fussy cut those utensils... thank goodness for the Micro-tip scissors from CTMH.  I then stamped the sage from the Good Thymes stamp set.  I watercolored it using some watered down ink...  Easy peesy - I am no water colorer... I'm a paper piecer! I then just stamped a sentiment from the Good Thymes stamp set onto kraft created a tag and adhere onto the card along with the sprig of sage.
Now to create the seed packet, I used the Garden Variety stamp set by Papertrey Ink, along with the coordinating die.  I also die cut the package using the Seed Packet die and of course stamped and colored the sage image from the Good Thymes stamp set.  All tied off with some May Arts twine.

Would love to see what you come up with from the Inspiration :)
